Spread Eagle, the cult American hard rock band, will play Velden am Wörthersee in Carinthia, Austria on 2 September 2026, at the Bluesiana Rock Cafe, as part of a short tour in support of their latest studio album “The Brutal Divide”.

Spread Eagle formed in New York in 1989 and, just a few months after getting started, signed a deal with MCA/Universal Records. With their raw, in-your-face sound and intense live shows, the band quickly won over a loyal following. Their self-titled debut came out in 1990 and, together with its follow-up “Open To The Public” (1993), enjoys cult status today. The single Switchblade Serenade drew a ton of attention when the debut dropped, getting played non-stop on MTV and cementing the band’s place on the global rock scene. Sadly, in 1995, right when interest in hard rock and glam metal had completely dried up, Spread Eagle called it quits, like a whole bunch of similar bands. They reactivated in 2006, though, and are still going today with two original members in the lineup: singer Ray West and bassist Rob De Luca, who played bass for the legendary heavy rockers UFO up until 2024. Spread Eagle moved over to Frontiers Music Srl. and released the album “Subway to the Stars” in 2019. The band’s fourth studio album, The Brutal Divide,¨which also came out on Frontiers Music Srl. in June 2026, was produced by the band’s bassist Rob De Luca!
