Demolition Group

No, anyone who thought things would go downhill after Joco's departure will have to eat their words this time. New times, new situation, new artistic moves. Another superb Demolition Group album.

"The band is nowhere near losing its compass, and Pojdiva tja is a gorgeous addition next to its older studio siblings in the group's rich discography."

"Brand-new album in their pocket, Demolition Group showed once again on the big stage of Kino Šiška what a rock'n'roll machine they are, and how much punch their musical rhetoric packs when you give the band room to really stretch out on…

With the new album in their pockets, the new Demolition Group once again showed on the big stage of Kino Šiška what a rock'n'roll machine they are, and how much expressive power their musical rhetoric packs when you give the band room to…

"Demolition Group are a band that always delivers their concert maximum. And this time was no different. The show at Gabrijel bar was in the category of those one-of-a-kind gigs you simply never forget"

The second-to-last weekend of the dying year was seriously buzzing when it comes to gig mayhem in Slovenia. In Cerkno, it was Demolition Group's turn to play. Not because it was the second-to-last Saturday of the old year, but because bar…

"No philosophizing here. Over a near two-hour, all-out show, the band once again delivered exactly what you expect from them, what you're used to from them: that superb dose of their very own rock'n'roll compound."

No rocket science here. We caught Demolition Group at this year's Ortofest in Ljubljana, and compared to that experience a month and a half ago, I can say this time at MINK they delivered a gig that was a shade more "slick", especially…

"The band plays with undiminished power and fury even in their latest lineup, and with some mileage the new forces in the freshly rejuvenated group will settle into optimal effectiveness. So? Yes! Demolition Group are moving forward!"

That night Demolition Group »survived«. To be honest, I prefer the band's previous lineup, with the one-of-a-kind Joco on sax, but let's be fair. The band plays in its newest lineup too with undiminished power and fury, and with some…

"»Zlagano sonce« gives the band new wings, new flight, new drive. Plenty of live shows are on the way, a whole bag of club thunder. The fantastic night at CUK Kino Šiška was merely the overture to the hot gig days that this year will write…

33 years in the game and a new album, the 14th overall, from the legendary Demolition Group of Brežice. A big celebration with a marathon set list at CUK Kino Šiška! And another fantastic show!

The new album is fresh proof of the incredible creative freshness and evergreen creativity that clings to the band even into its mature years and never lets up. A masterpiece and surely a contender for one of the best rock albums that have…

"A masterpiece and surely a contender for one of the best rock albums to come out (and still to come out) on the Slovenian music scene in 2015!"

A concert night of a unique experience, delivered by 4 unique bands! An evening that turned into a tribute to the person and work of Boštjan Cvek, the far-too-early-departed founder of the Jazz Cerkno and Keltika festivals, and one that…

Brežice giants Demolition Group's pre-New Year live ritual fulfilled the Ljubljana crowd's wishes and then some.

Once again, seeing Demolition Group live floored us, shook us, swept us away and cast a spell. Over twenty songs in an hour and a half. No mask. Squarely in the paradigm of the uncompromising, homegrown art legacy of this excellent band.

A transfusion of new blood is doing the Brežice crew Demolition Group a world of good. Younger and louder than ever, they won over the hearts of the crowd at this year's Bežigradfest too.

If Planet starcev is a reflection of the state of our society, then Demolition Group are the apologists of this moment. The singer of the Brežice crew took time out to talk with us about current affairs and what music means, and revealed…

Thirty years after the first breath of air in shared lungs and the first cry of revolt put into words, Demolition Group still sit on their throne as the alternative rock'n'roll gods of Slovenia, and Menza confirmed for the second time that…

Thirty juicy years of experience have forged Demolition Group into the concert gem of Slovenian stages, and the double album Na živo is the first officially documented audio proof of just how outstanding they are.

Ten years after Bič, Luči and Upanje, the time has come to keep pushing back against the world and to lyrically tell stories of love and suffering. The outstanding Planet starcev sings juicily about a world of fallen ideals.

If there's one band in Slovenia that makes a sound all its own and can stand next to the world's best in both creativity and quality, it's Demolition Group. They're one of the few Slovenian acts to find success on foreign stages, and local…
