Sabaton

Location: Opatija / Ljetna pozornica / CroatiaDate: Friday, 19 August 2022 The question I'm going to open with is a hard one to ask out loud. Is war good for anything? No. Well — almost nothing. Because for Sabaton, the Swedish…

Label: Nuclear Blast RecordsRelease date: March 4, 2022Production: SabatonAlbum length: 45.21 minGenre: Power MetalRating: 8.0/10 Hmm… a lot has been said about Sabaton. Especially over the last fifteen years. Our music outlet's…

"While Sabaton aren't exactly reinventing the wheel with the new album, this time they've added more keyboards plus choir and orchestral parts. But at their core, they stay true to themselves. So if you like any Sabaton album, you'll very…

"After 18 years and more than 1,000 shows in over 50 countries around the world, Sabaton proved once again on Monday night that they're a force to be reckoned with and that their moment is far from over."

On Monday, Sabaton once again conquered the Zagreb hall, which was packed with plenty of Slovenian fans, and before them Accept served up a proper old-school heavy metal lesson!

"The Last Stand" is exactly the album Sabaton fans were hoping for: a fresh dozen of slickly packaged, hypnotically catchy choruses, bursting at the seams with bombast!

"Several times the singer mentioned getting goosebumps from the crowd's response. I'm convinced that a guy who gets such an emotional reaction will give it everything to keep getting that “fix”, and that's exactly what Sabaton do, which in…

On Mardi Gras, Swedish war metal heroes Sabaton played Kino Šiška, with Hungarian power metallers Wisdom keeping them company.

"For Sabaton, Monday's show was already their fifth in the Croatian capital."

Sweden's tank division, known as Sabaton, rolled into our neck of the woods once again and proved at Zagreb's Tvornica kulture exactly why they sit at the very top of the popularity charts.

The so-called Rock'n'Chill Day, the first day of this year's Seerock festival, brought sets from a slew of legendary bands.

The last day of the festival delivered an unexpected surprise in the fantastic Heaven Shall Burn, the return of the sorely missed Frank "The Tank" Mullen with Suffocation, and a farewell to Swedish veterans Tiamat.

After two years, countless gigs and a rejuvenated lineup, Sabaton return with a new studio album, Heroes.

Watching Sabaton on stage was a pleasure. A pleasure because the band is living through its career peak. Sabaton are right at the top of their game. A rebuilt lineup, renewed in spirit and heart. An incredible bond between fans and band,…

"…and so the last Metal Camp festival is done. From now on we get MetalDays. Same scale, meaning one big-name headliner in the lineup and a festival of the same length. Let's hope the location stays at the confluence of the Tolminka and…

And so the last-ever Metal Camp festival has come to a close. From now on, we get MetalDays.

The new Sabaton album has no standout moments, but it hits a lot harder and hungrier than its predecessor "Coat Of Arms", so it'll end up far better received in the medium run! Sonically, "Carolus Rex" is a perfectly produced piece of work.

The album laid out before us should have been the debut of the Swedish band Sabaton five years ago. But Swedish metal had no luck with the Italian label Underground Symphony, which took a two-year siesta over the release of Metalizer, the…
