Tarja will release her new album “Frisson Noir” via earMUSIC on June 12, and it’s said to be the most metal-heavy, bristling record of her career. After years of exploring all sorts of musical genres, Tarja is heading straight back to where she belongs. Metal.
“Frisson Noir” reflects Tarja’s ongoing dialogue between cinematic orchestration, classical training and the intensity of modern metal. The album moves between intimate piano passages, dramatic orchestral textures and wound-up, guitar-fueled moments.
The album features ten tracks plus a lineup of special guests! They are: Dani Filth (Cradle Of Filth), Apocalyptica, Marko Hietala (former Nightwish member) and Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers). The album was mixed by producer Neal Avron, a Grammy winner (Linkin Park, Skillet, Disturbed).
Below you’ll find the third single from the album, along with the video for The Trace Outlives. It follows the singles I Don’t Care, featuring Cradle Of Filth’s vocal hellraiser Dani Filth, and At Sea!
The new single At Sea is available HERE!
