Teramaze, the Australian progressive metal heavyweights from Melbourne, will release a new studio album, “The Silent Architect”, on their own label Wells Music on May 8, 2026.
Below you can check out the third single from the album, Arrow, which comes with an official music video. The video was once again shot and directed by Sam Tan. Before it, the band released the singles Mr Crazy and The Invisible Countdown.
You can already pre-order the album “The Silent Architect”.
“The SIlent Architect” was recorded at Wells Music studio, owned by the band’s frontman and guitarist Dean Wells. Wells also handled the mixing and mastering.
The band says the new single is the perfect blend of progressive metal elements you can hear in the expression of bands like Dream Theater, Haken and Periphery. In short: modern!
Here’s what Dean Wells has to say about the band’s new achievement: “This is the sound I heard in my head many years ago. I think we’ve brought that sound to life masterfully on the new album and on the new single “The Invisible Countdown.””
The band keeps up a proper artistic stance, and this is what they say about the new album: “The album “The Silent Architect” isn’t against technology – it’s against dependence. It’s a raised middle finger to a culture that leans on artificial intelligence to produce fake art instead of fighting for the real thing. In a present that’s increasingly dependent on algorithms and artificial precision, we in Teramaze have created something that speaks to you with defiant organic feel.”
“Everything that has marked the band’s development is gathered on the latest album: precise riff architecture, emotionally charged melodic peaks, progressive twists that never let you settle, and chorus hooks that stick to the common thread instead of descending into chaos. It doesn’t let up. It’s focused and speaks in a structured, controlled way. Dangerous.”
