The Black Thunder, Polish alternative and doom metallers, have released a music video for the track Ash in My Marrow, the second single from their third studio album »Time Obliteration«. The album will be out on October 16, 2026 via Pagan Records.
You can already pre-order the album.
The newest single follows its predecessor, Verification Of Wounds.
Alongside their contemporaries from the Polish underground scene, like Calm Hatchery, Tyran and Deathinition, The Black Thunder have drifted away from the stoner and groovy sounds that marked the albums »Visions in Black« (2017) and »Into the Darkness We All Fall« (2021). The upcoming new record is a gloomy mix of black metal, sludge, technical elements and crust punk. The music is fueled by a DIY approach: the band skipped the polished studio production and went with feel instead. The whole album was recorded live, as a gig in the Dobra 12 studio in Białystok, with Piotr Polak handling production, and Haldor Grunberg taking care of mixing and mastering at Satanic Audio studio.
The album cover was created by Australian artist Rok (Sadistik Exekution), and the graphic design was done by Łukasz “Pachu” Pach (Hostia).
