The Eternal, the Australian-Finnish dark progressive gothic metal collective who dropped their new EP “Celestial” on January 16 (out via Reigning Phoenix Music), are unveiling a video and single for the track Casting Down Shadows. Before it, the band put out three singles from the EP: Bleeding Into Light, Celestial Veil and It All Ends (all available below).
You can get the EP on all major digital platforms and in an ultra-limited edition on eco-friendly recycled vinyl: https://theeternal.rpm.link/celestialPR
It All Ends is the first taste of the album “Celestial”. The track builds slowly and deliberately, then pulls the listener into a storm of gloomy riffs, dark melodies and emotional vocals that feel intimate and colossal at the same time. The song’s dynamics swell toward a grand, epic finale that shows off the band’s cinematic approach to heavy music.
With Mark Kelson (vocals/guitar) and Richie Poate (guitar) from Melbourne, joined by Jan Rechberger (drums, Amorphis) and Niclas Etelävuori (bass, ex-Amorphis/Flat Earth) in Helsinki, The Eternal are opening up new musical horizons.
