Thomas Miller’s Lazarus Effect Drops the Single “Closer To The Sun”
Thomas Miller, former bassist of American prog metal champions Symphony X, is back on the scene with a new project and the album “Lazarus Effect”.
Miller’s musical partnership with guitar virtuoso Michael Romeo (Symphony X) goes all the way back to 1986, and in 1994 it led to the two of them forming Symphony X. Miller played bass on the band’s early albums, including the especially beloved “The Divine Wings Of Tragedy” and “Twilight In Olympus”, and joined them on tour too, before deciding to leave the band.
Decades later, Miller has put together enough new original material for a project, teaming up with his old Symphony X buddies Michael Romeo and Michael Pinnella, while the mixing and mastering on “Lazarus Effct” was handled by Eric Rachel, known for producing the first six Symphony X albums. Vocal duties on the album go to Hollywood How Portney.
