Timo Tolkki Has Important News for Everyone Heading to His European Tour!
Timo Tolkki, the Finnish guitar virtuoso, musical visionary, multi-instrumentalist, composer and producer, has made an important announcement ahead of his new European tour, which kicks off today in Olomouc in the Czech Republic (Timo will also hit Zagreb on October 24, 2026 – more info).
In it, he says he’ll play his upcoming shows entirely seated, since he’s been dealing with chronic vestibular neuritis for years.
You can check out the original of his official statement on the matter in full below.
The touring lineup backing Timo looks like this:
Titta »bunga bunga« Tani – vocals
Frank »vasektomy« Caporaletti – bass
Alessio »married« Palizzi – drums
Giuseppe »Ron« Gioffi – keyboards
and
Roman »condom« Luciano – tour manager
Timo Tolkki is known for plenty of solo works and projects, putting out and writing music that often follows the collision of classical music and metal.
But he’s best known for founding Stratovarius in the eighties and carrying them in the nineties, on the wings of unforgettable studio albums, among which “Episode” (1995), “Visions” (1996), “Destiny” (1998) and “Infinite” (2000) stand out in particular, onto the world map. That made Stratovarius one of the central power metal bands, whose image and work also shaped the later boom of symphonic and power metal.
