Ram, the Swedish heavy metallers who dropped their new album “Against” via Metal Blade Records in October 2026 – the band’s first studio album in almost seven years – are showing off the title track and video from the record, which you can check out below.
Ram previously released the singles Abattoir, Night Blade and Ghost Emperor.
Following 2019’s “The Throne Within”, “Against” strikes a ferociously defiant pose, zeroing in on rebellion, nonconformity, and that feeling of being shoved by the system and the masses following it into doing things that go way past any sane limit.
The album title reflects Ram’s lifelong devotion to heavy metal as the most merciless form of sonic terror.
Musically, the band looked back to the classic sounds of cult acts like Dio, MSG and Sweet, aiming for an honest, direct and organic production and ditching all the polishing and smoothing of recordings that modern production demands. The album was recorded at Recordia studio in Varberg, Sweden, with longtime collaborator Johan Reiven handling production.
You can already order “Against”.
