“Eremition” is the long-awaited seventh album from one of Australia’s most cult bands when it comes to melodic progressive metal. It keeps everything Vanishing Point fans demand, while uncompromisingly pushing the band’s sound into new, uncharted sonic territory.
“Eremition” is a collection of nine tracks that deliver a first-class, modern-day take on what Vanishing Point are all about. Songs like Bring Me The Night and The Other Side offer mighty, cinematic melodies, while tracks like The Faceless and Faultline bring relentless metal riffing. The melancholic King Of Denial will surely satisfy those looking for darker moments, and the title track “Eremition” brings something Vanishing Point have never done before.
The album cover art comes from Augusto Peixoto (IrondoomDesign).
The album was produced by Chris Porcianko and Damien Hall. Guitars, bass and drums were engineered by Damien Hall. Vocal production, co-production, mixing and mastering were handled by Dean Wells (Teramaze).
