Založba Radia Študent presents Buje at Sunset – the first single from the upcoming album by Rok Zalokar Zhlehtet!
This music collective, led by pianist, producer and composer Rok Zalokar , plays in various formations featuring some of the best-known names on the contemporary Slovenian jazz scene, who draw inspiration from spiritual jazz and electronics for the project. They weave genres together with a feel for tradition and a modern sound that reveals itself in a new way with every album. Through intuitive interplay, improvisation and chasing the spirit of the moment, they create varied moods and rich sonic textures that make every album sound fresh and distinctly their own, and every gig is just as much a one-of-a-kind, fully rounded story.
Joining Rok Zalokar this time are Alja Petric, Lenart De Bock and Žiga Smrdel, with whom he continues to explore a contemporary jazz language.
The new album Intention, Intensity, Shuffle will be released on Zarš on June 5, 2026, and the release will be followed by a show on June 17 at Tivoli in Ljubljana.
