Temic, a new progressive metal band founded by former Haken keyboardist Diego Tejeida, Neal Morse Band guitarist Eric Gillette, Maraton 22 vocalist Fredrik Bergersen and Shining drummer Simen Sandnes, will release their new studio album “Ceiba” on October 2, 2026, via Seasons Of Mist.
In mid-November 2023, shortly after signing with the renowned label Seasons Of Mist, Temic put out their debut studio album “Terror Management Theory”.
Check out the new single and video for the track Ashes below. It follows the singles Ceased To Be and Broken.
“Ceiba”, which will be available in a variety of formats, is already up for pre-order.
The roots of Temic go back to the days of Mike Portnoy’s Shattered Fortress, the band with which both Tejeida and Gillette toured the world in 2017. After the p(l)andemic ‘paused’ life on the planet, the band went quiet, but the duo stayed in touch and started writing original material. Later, they brought Sandnes and Bergersen on board.
Drums and vocals were recorded at Lionheart studio (Oslo, Norway), with Diego Tejeida producing the vocals. The album was mixed by Chris Edrich and mastered by Pierrick Noël at Atelier Mastering.
The tracklist for “Ceiba” looks like this:
1.Asunder
2. Ashes
3. Beyond the Voice
4. Ceased To Be
5. Broken
