America, the legendary Grammy-winning American band, are announcing the release of the compilation »Halcyon Days«, a collection of fan-favorite hits coming out July 10 via Primary Wave on vinyl, CD, and all digital platforms.

The collection, already available to pre-order and ‘pre-save‘, features their 2011 re-recordings of classic tracks, including A Horse With No Name, Ventura Highway, Tin Man, and Sister Golden Hair. It also includes the bonus track World Of Light, already out in digital format, along with a new lyric video (check it out below).

America, led by Dewey Bunnell, are still very much alive on the live front, too. They’ve got a whole run of shows booked for this year. Sadly, only on the North American continent.

America were formed in 1970 by Gerry Beckley, Dewey Bunnell, and the late Dan Peek. They became one of the most important classic rock acts, earning worldwide fame with their trademark harmonies, original songwriting, and a distinctive sound that blends folk, pop, rock, and jazz influences. For decades, the band’s music has remained an essential part of radio playlists, film, TV, and pop culture. In 1972 the band won the Grammy for Best New Artist and kept going with a string of albums and hits that helped shape the sound of the ’70s and early ’80s.

America’s music can be heard in acclaimed films like “American Hustle”, “The Nice Guys”, “The Last Unicorn”, “Miss Stevens”, and “Girl Most Likely”, as well as in hit TV series like “The Sopranos”, “Friends”, “Breaking Bad”, “BoJack Horseman”, and “Saturday Night Live”. Their music has also turned up in well-known video game franchises, including “Grand Theft Auto”, so a new generation of listeners is getting to know the band’s iconic repertoire as well.
