Brainstorm, the German power thrash metal legends from Heidenheim, are unveiling their take on Celebrate Youth, a song originally by Australian singer-songwriter and rocker Rick Springfield. Celebrate Youth was one of two singles from Springfield’s album “Tao”, which came out on March 27, 1985, on RCA Records.
Brainstorm timed the cover to land alongside a new, shorter tour of Germany with Angus McSix, the intergalactic tamer of robotic apparitions and monsters, which kicked off today in Hamburg.
Brainstorm’s version of Celebrate Youth is already available to stream on all digital platforms! You can also give the track a spin at the bottom of this news post.
On the new tour, the band is still playing material from their latest album, “Plague of Rats”, which came out last year on Reigning Phoenix Records (RPM).
Brainstorm lineup in 2026:
Andy B. Franck – vocals
Torsten Ihlenfeld – guitar
Milan Loncaric – guitar
Danij Perl – bass
Kevin Lütolf – drums
