Burning Path Drop Their Self-Titled Debut Album!
Burning Path, the Chilean heavy metal crew, released their self-titled debut on 2/27/2026. The album, available on CD and LP, came out on the German underground label Dying Victims Production.
Burning Path rose from the ashes of Lucifer’s Hammer. At the end of December 2024, founding member Andre Adasme, known as Hades, was killed by an unknown assailant. His brother Rodrigo, also known as Titan, was left with a heavy task. He decided that, together with longtime guitarist Hypnos, he would keep Andre’s legacy alive. That’s how Burning Path was born. Titan chose to drop the Lucifer’s Hammer name, since there’s nobody who could replace his brother.
Burning Path thus carry on the musical direction of Lucifer’s Hammer, the traditional heavy metal school of the band’s 13-year career. The self-titled Burning Path album is therefore a continuation of the story of the last Lucifer’s Hammer album, “Be And Exist”, which came out in 2024.
On the debut, Titan handled vocals, drums and guitar, while Hypnos played guitar, bass and keyboards. This album, too, still carries clear traces of inspiration from early Dokken, and further on from bands like Heavy Pettin’, Diamond Head, Europe, Witch Cross, Virgin Steele and even Kiss from the 80s, when they were making the most ferocious metal of their career.
