Devin Townsend, the Canadian singer-songwriter, elusive musical visionary, genius and sonic terrorist, will release a new studio album, “The Moth”, on May 29, 2026. The album is coming out on Insideout Music.
Below you’ll find the second single from the album, Home At Night, where Devin tries his hand at being a chansonnier.
“The Moth” is Devin Townsend’s most ambitious work yet. It’s a project that lived in his head as a life’s work – a decade-plus undertaking that fuses orchestra, choir and theater. What started out as a distant vision became reality once Townsend received an invitation to collaborate with the Noord Nederlands Orkest.
The studio version was recorded entirely in collaboration with the Noord Nederlands Orkest, and Devin is joined on the album by a tried-and-true crew of musical collaborators, including: Mike Keneally (Frank Zappa), Darby Todd (Jordan Rudess, The Darkness), James Leach (Sikth), Anneke Van Giersbergen (The Gathering) and Lynn Wu (OU).
“The Moth” will be available in all formats and in a variety of editions. You can already pre-order “The Moth”.
