Vicious Rumors, the cult Bay Area speed and thrash heavy metal veterans from the US, have announced that new drummer Wyatt Cooper is now in the fold. You can check out the original Facebook post below.
Wyatt replaces longtime original member and legendary drummer Larry Howe in Vicious Rumors. That means the quintet now has just one original member left in the lineup! That’s none other than the band’s boss, guitarist and main driving force who keeps Vicious Rumors together, Geoff Thorpe.
Wyatt is a top-notch, classically trained drummer who brings an intense groove to the kit. Over his career he’s worked with Yngwie Malmsteen, and he also played the drums on the first two Cry Venom albums, “Vanquish The Demon” and “Second Wind”.
Wyatt is ready to hit the stage with Vicious Rumors at every show of the upcoming extensive European tour, where Vicious Rumors will be stopping by Zagreb (Hard Place, Croatia, May 10, 2026) as well as Velden in Carinthia (Bluesiana Rock Cafe, Austria, June 3, 2026), among other places.
