On June 12, Tarja will release a new album, “Frisson Noir”, via earMUSIC, and it’s billed as the most metal-fueled, bristling record of her career. After years of exploring all kinds of musical genres, Tarja is heading right back to where she belongs. Metal.
“Frisson Noir” reflects Tarja’s ongoing dialogue between cinematic orchestration, classical training and the intensity of modern metal. The album moves between intimate piano passages, dramatic orchestral textures and wound-up, guitar-driven moments.
The album has ten tracks and a lineup of special guests! They are: Dani Filth (Cradle Of Filth), Apocalyptica, Marko Hietala (former Nightwish member) and Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers). The album was mixed by producer Neal Avron, a Grammy winner (Linkin Park, Skillet, Disturbed).
Below you’ll find the second single from the album and the video for I Don’t Care, featuring Cradle Of Filth’s vocal hellraiser Dani Filth. Tarja announced the new album a while back with the single At Sea!
