Immolation Announce New Album “Descent” – Single “Adversary” Is Out Now
Immolation, the cult New York death metallers, have announced a new studio album, “Descent”, due out April 10, 2026 on Nuclear Blast Records.
Ever since their 1991 debut “Dawn Of Possession”, Immolation have pushed the standards of innovation to a whole new level and influenced generations of extreme metal bands around the world. Their sound remains one of a kind, built on Bob Vigna’s utterly unique guitar phrasing.
Below you can check out the first single from the upcoming Immolation album, the track Adversary. It also comes with an official music video, directed by Bob Vigna!
“Desent” was recorded in two locations. Justin Passamonte tracked the guitars, bass and vocals at Jpass Music, while Noah Buchanan recorded the drums at Mercinary Studios. Zack Ohren once again took the production on his shoulders, with Immolation also chipping in. Ohren handled the mixing and mastering as well.
The cover art comes from the renowned Elian Kantor, while the album booklet’s interior was illustrated by Santiago Jaramillo.
“Descent” is already available to pre-order.
Immolation team up with Mayhem and Marduk for a month-long European tour starting this February. On February 19, 2026, they’ll be playing Vienna, among other cities.
