Exhumed, American pioneers of “blood-soaked” gore metal and proud members of the Relapse Records family, will release a new studio album called “Red Asphalt” on June 20, 2026.
Down below you’ll find the second single from the album, Shovelhead, complete with an animated video. The band announced the new record with the first single Unsafe At Any Speed (and a video, too). You’ll need a strong stomach to watch both videos, and a taste for the grotesque!
“Red Asphalt” is a ‘love letter’ to life on the road – gruesome crashes, especially the fatal ones, zombified biker gangs, blood spilled on asphalt and steel, and so on…

Between April and May 2026, the band is out on a new European tour with fellow Americans Gruesome. Among other stops, they’ll hit Vienna on April 19, 2026, playing at the club Escape.
