Joel Hoekstra’s 13, the project fronted by guitar virtuoso Joel Hoekstra (Whitesnake), is gearing up for its fourth studio album, “From The Fade”. Below you’ll find the third single and video, for the track Lifeline.

“From The Fade” is set for release on February 27, 2026, via Frontiers Music Srl., and you can already pre-order it.

Hoekstra announced the new album a while back with the single The Fall, followed toward the end of last year by the single You Can Give (both below).

As on the previous Joel Hoekstra’s 13 albums, the guitar maestro is once again backed by a garrison of top-notch players. That means bassist Tony Franklin (Blue Murder, The Firm), keyboardist Derek Sherinian (Sons Of Apollo, Black Country Communion) and drummer Vinny Appice (Black Sabbath, DIO, Last In Line), while all the vocals on the album come from Girish Pradhan, frontman of the Indian hard rock band Girish And The Chronicles. Jeff Scott Soto contributed backing vocals.

The album was produced by Joel Hoekstra, with the final mix and mastering handled by Chris Collier.

Joel Hoekstra is a New Yorker who currently plays guitar with Trans Siberian Orchestra. He was also a permanent member of the last Whitesnake lineup, before David Coverdale announced the band’s recent retirement this past November. Hoekstra is also part of Revolution Saints, alongside Deen Castronovo (Journey) and Jeff Pilson (Foreigner, The End Machine, ex-Dokken), as well as the band Iconic, where he teams up with Michael Sweet (Stryper), Nathan James (Inglorious), Marco Mendoza (ex-Journey, The Dead Daisies) and Tommy Aldridge (Whitesnake, ex-Ozzy Osbourne). On top of that, Joel is known for working with Cher and Night Ranger, for the Broadway show Rock of Ages, for the occasional helping hand to the legendary Foreigner, and he also records for the project VHF and takes part in Brandon Gibbs’ acoustic live shows. He’s a regular columnist for Guitar World Magazine too. In recent years, Joel has put out three well-received albums with his side project Joel Hoekstra’s 13: “Dying to Live”, “Running Games” and “Crash Of Life”. Over his career he has also released three instrumental solo studio albums.
