Malefic Throne present a new single and video for When Our Shadows Align, taken from their latest studio album “The Conquering Darkness”, released on 11/28/2025 via Agonia Records.

Malefic Throne are guitarist Gene Palubicki (Angelcorpse, Perdition Temple), vocalist and bassist Steve Tucker (Morbid Angel), and drummer John Longstreth (Origin, Hate Eternal, ex-Angelcorpse).

The trio was founded by Palubicki in 2020, after a meeting at Morrisound studio in 1997, where Angelcorpse and Morbid Angel were recording their albums. Both bands, side by side. “The roots of this band reach all the way back to the mid-90s, when Gene, Steve and I first met at Morrisound studio,” says John Longstreth. “It’s incredible to see how those old conversations and hangouts have grown into a full-on celebration of hellish death metal. I had no doubt this union would be absolutely devastating.” Palubicki stresses that the music Malefic Throne make is, at every turn, strongly shaped by the influence of all three members. The synthesis of the three of them, in both performance and songwriting, is what gives the band its distinct identity.

“The Conquering Darkness” was recorded, mixed and mastered at Menegroth The Thousand Caves studio (Gorguts, Origin, Atheist) with Colin Marston. Drummer John Longstreth hints that the result is ultra-brutal death metal of nuclear proportions. The album cover was created by renowned artist Daniele Valeriani (Dark Funeral, Mayhem), while Christophe Szpajdel (Emperor, Moonspell) designed the band’s logo.

“The Conquering Darkness” can already be ordered.
