Masterplan, the cult German power metallers led by former Helloween guitarist Roland Grapow, will release a new studio album, “Metalmorphosis”, on June 26, 2026. The album is coming out on the Italian label Frontiers Music Srl.!

You can already pre-order “Metalmorphosis”.

Below you can check out the third single from the band’s upcoming studio album, the track Electric Nights. Before that, Masterplan dropped the singles Chase The Light and Through The Storm.

Masterplan were founded in 2001 by former Helloween guitarist Roland Grapow and former Helloween drummer Uli Kush.

Their first full-length album, “Masterplan”, came out in 2003, produced by Andy Sneap (a highly respected British producer and musician, best known as a Grammy winner who produced more than 100 albums at Roland Grapow’s studio in Hamburg).

Since then, Masterplan have put out five more albums. In 2004, the band received the “European Border Breakers Award” from the European Commission for the success of their debut across Europe. Unlike plenty of other metal bands, they’re known for their positive lyrics and musical optimism.

The dust hasn’t even properly settled yet from Masterplan’s visit on April 14, 2026, when they played alongside former Queensryche singer Geoff Tate and his backing band at Ljubljana’s Orto bar, where RockLine was of course on hand too – concert review!

2. Electric Nights
3. Shadow Man
4. Bound To Fall
5. Pain Of Yesterday
