Revocation, the ever-hotter architects of technical death metal, are unveiling a new video for their single Data Corpse, which you can check out below. The single and its video come from the band’s latest and still very current album “New Gods, New Masters”, released on September 26, 2025 via Metal Blade Records.
On their fifth record, “New Gods, New Masters”, the quartet led by founder/vocalist/guitarist Dave Davidson delivers nine powerful, in-your-face crushers packed with brutal poetry and music. While 2022’s “Netherheaven” raised the quality bar for Revocation, “New Gods, New Masters” shows even more creative focus. Boston-based Davidson, together with the band’s newest members Harry Lannon (rhythm guitar and backing vocals since 2023) and bassist Alex Weber, has captured a renewed energy and intensity both in the studio and on stage.
“New Gods, New Masters” was produced by Davidson, with mixing and mastering handled by Jens Bogren (The Haunted, Spiritbox). The album cover is artwork by Paolo Girardi (Bell Witch, Mother Of Graves, Black Breath, Cryptopsy). Besides Jonny Davy, the album also features guest appearances by Travis Ryan of Cattle Decapitation, Luc Lemay of Gorguts, and jazz guitarist Gilad Hekselman.
