Šank Rock Carry On With a Refreshed Lineup!
On Monday, May 11, 2026, we learned from the mainstream media that guitarist Bor Zuljan has left Šank Rock. In a statement explaining his decision, he said, among other things, that from now on he’d like to focus primarily on his own original material. According to the musician, that material veers so far away stylistically that it’s no longer compatible with the musical direction that has always defined Šank Rock.
After a brief spell of silence, Šank Rock announced yesterday, May 12, via social media that they wish Bor all the best on his further musical path, signed: Matjaž / Cveto / Aleš.
Today, May 13, 2026, a second post from the band followed, saying the story isn’t over, and that Šank Rock are simply opening a new chapter of their career. A new single is coming soon, and they plan to release a new studio album as well. They’re also inviting all their fans to the show on June 12, 2026, when they’ll be playing in Cerknica.
You can check out the originals of both official statements below.
More info will be revealed in the coming days!
