Šank Rock Unveil New Track “Pomisliš kdaj name”!

A song about a love that time refuses to erase!

Following their last two hugely successful singles ‘Danes je dan‘ and ‘Nisi kriva ti‘, legendary Slovenian rock band Šank Rock are back with a new original song, ‘Pomisliš kdaj name’. The band’s new album is coming together fast.

With the new song, Šank Rock show their more intimate and emotional side, speaking to listeners through a story of memories, longing, and the questions that nag at us, whether we like it or not, from some cozy corner of the subconscious.

‘Pomisliš kdaj name’ is a song about people that time pulls apart, and about bonds that time loosens, but never truly wipes from our minds. About a love that stays written between the lines of the past, and about those moments when, in silence and solitude, we wonder whether the person on the other side still thinks of us sometimes.

The lyrics, written by Leon Oblak, open up space for listeners’ own personal stories through refined, vivid verses. ‘Leto mine, noč nikoli.‘, ‘Skozi široke življenjske razpoke pogleda jesen.’ and ‘Še vedno te ljubim v objemu tišine …‘ are lines that carry emotional intensity, expressiveness, and honesty.

The music was written by Matjaž Jelen, the author of many of the band’s hits, who once again stays true to the melodic rock sound that generations of listeners know Šank Rock for. Production is credited to Dejan Radičević, who gave the song a modern sonic stamp while keeping the band’s authentic energy intact.

‘Pomisliš kdaj name’ isn’t just a song about lost love. It’s a song about the memories we carry with us, about the people who left their mark on us, and about feelings that are stronger than time.

The new single has been available on all major digital platforms since June 23, and it will be joined by a music video, coming out soon.

“Everyone has someone that life carried off somewhere else, but never truly erased the path to their heart. ‘Pomisliš kdaj name’ is about exactly those quiet questions we ask ourselves when we’re left alone with our thoughts.”

Šank Rock today are Matjaž Jelen (vocals), Cveto Polak (bass), Aleš Uranjek (drums), Andrej Rot (guitar) and Marko Zorec (guitar and keyboards), proving that honest rock stories still find their way to listeners.
