Six Feet Under, the Florida death metal pioneers, will drop their fifteenth studio album via Metal Blade Records on April 24. It’s called “Next To Die”.
The second single from the album is out now, along with a video for the track Mutilated Corpse In The Woods, which you can check out below. It follows the earlier single Unmistakable Smell Of Death.
Six Feet Under are also hitting European stages this summer. They’ll bring their new studio album “Next To Die” to Slovenian fans too, on June 14, 2026, at a show in Ljubljana’s Orto Bar. Embryonic Autopsy are the special guests on the tour. More info is available HERE.
The band started out as a side project of Chris Owen’s during his final years with Cannibal Corpse, and put out their debut “Haunted” in 1995. Since 2017, Six Feet Under have been back to a lineup featuring vocalist Chris Barnes and rhythm guitarist Jack Owen side by side. With the two of them together, the band released “Nightmares Of The Decomposed” in 2020, followed by “Killing For Revenge” in 2024.
The new album “Next To Die” was also produced by Owen and Barnes, with Mark Lewis handling the mix and mastering at MRL Studios (Nashville, Tennessee).
Alongside Barnes and Owen, the current lineup features guitarist Ray Suhy, bassist Jeff Hughell and drummer Marco Pitruzzella.
“Next To Die” will be available in all formats and their variations, and you can already pre-order it.
