šMENT #1: Announcing the Full Lineup

Kino Šiška 2026
0 54

If there’s no MENT, there’s šMENT.
Šiška MENT!Four seasons: we’re kicking off with the šspring echo of the 12th edition, with a bunch of acts taking over Kino Šiška for one day.
Coming? Šure thing!

5 reasons for šMENT:
– Porto Morto with a new record
– Elektro Guzzi with a new record
– balans with a taste of the new album and freshly re-dressed hits
– One of the rare chances to catch slatkor
– Getting šlapped around by Drhal

BALANS
balans is back! The reborn duo, who’ve left their mark on home stages and across the wider Balkans in recent years, are announcing a new album for the fall, and we’ll get to enjoy glimpses of it at šMENT too. After a longer break, the post-punk minimalism of Kristin Čona and Andrej Pervanja, which the British magazine The Wire described as “extremely minimalist indie rock,” will ring out across the Ljubljana basin in a new outfit, and of course the classics from their rich discography won’t be missing either. Yum, yum!

SLATKOR

The slatkor project is the work of Zlatko Djogić, a well-established and seasoned Slovenian drummer who otherwise looks after tempo and volume in various local bands like Prismojeni profesorji bluesa, AUTO and Dear Annie. This is his first solo venture, where he explores different shades of weird pop, hip hop and other unusual music. A multi-genre adventure from a bedroom producer and vocalist whose head bursts with ideas at night!

DRHAL
“Fakof, disco bitches! We’re Drhal. We’re a shit punk band from Ljubljana who brutally want to sound like we crawled out of a moldy cellar (where we also rehearse). That’s the bio, but feel free to change it, it’s getting on our nerves a bit.”@drhalcki / Bandcamp
PORTO MORTO
Over the last few years, Croatia’s Porto Morto have established themselves as one of the most exciting regional bands of the millennial generation. By blending genres like progressive pop, art rock and indie electronics, the Zagreb seven-piece have developed their own sound and style, and built on it with a polished visual language that defines their slick music videos and live shows.
They teased the new album minimum with four singles: the danceable ‘Paradoks’, the anthemic ‘Na površini’ and ‘Gužva’, and the banger ‘Tu’, a much-talked-about collab with Croatian rapper Hiljson Mandela that fuses their musical worlds. Don’t miss their Ljubljana premiere of the new album – only at šMENT.

ELEKTRO GUZZI
We already filed Elektro Guzzi away in our memory at the very first MENT as the trio that wows with precise live techno. The band, with guitar, bass and drums, blurs the line between analog and digital. With no computers or looping gear, the guys leave crowds open-mouthed with their live shows at revered festivals like Roskilde, Sónar and Sziget, and at legendary clubs like Fabric and Berghain.
The trio returns to Ljubljana with their eleventh studio album Liquid Center, stylistically more focused than ever, yet at the same time sonically more open. The album shows the trio on a new level: they build on their sense of precision and finely crafted structures with unexpected depth and warmth. Their sound is now more restrained and subtle, and that’s exactly what makes it even more striking. Liquid Center isn’t a loose collection of tracks but a coherent album experience, best enjoyed live, of course. In Šiška. At šMENT!
