Kreslin's year wrapped up with a step to the south, and in the manner of well-worn tunes, the magic of Čarobnice doesn't quite repeat itself to the same degree this time.

This year's December Kreslin ritual was all about a stellar Martin Krpan reunion, Mali bogovi, and an atmosphere that cast its spell on Cankarjev dom three nights running.

Križanke has been conquered once again, as the great Vlado Kreslin shared the stage for the first time in ages with Mali bogovi, Beltinška banda and some outstanding musical guests.

The poet from the Prekmurje plains marries old with new, and alongside treasures from dusty, nearly forgotten archives, Čarobnice also serves up a pile of more recent gems.

Vlado Kreslin opened his door for a few precious moments and let us backstage, right up close to the geysers of creativity without which Slovenian music would be a lot blander and emptier.

Kreslin and Pojezije chased away the storm clouds, then used laughter and song to get even the lords and ladies of Tuštanj Castle on their feet.
