Teramaze Drop Video for New Single “Mr Crazy”
Teramaze, the Australian progressive metal heavyweights from Melbourne, will release a new studio album, “The Silent Architect”, on May 8, 2026 via their own label, Wells Music.
Below you’ll find the album’s second single, Mr Crazy, which also comes with an official music video shot by Sam Tan. Before that, the band put out the single The Invisible Countdown.
“The Silent Architect” is already up for pre-order.
“The SIlent Architect” was recorded at Wells Music studio, owned by the band’s frontman and guitarist Dean Wells. Wells also handled the mixing and mastering.
The band calls the new single a perfect blend of progressive metal elements you can hear in the expression of bands like Dream Theater, Haken and Periphery. In short: modern!
Dean Wells had this to say about the band’s new achievement: “This is the sound I heard in my head many years ago. I think we’ve brought that sound to life masterfully on the new album and on the new single ‘The Invisible Countdown’.”
The band keeps a true artistic stance, and here’s what they say about the new album: “‘The Silent Architect’ isn’t against technology – it’s against dependence. It’s a raised middle finger to a culture that leans on artificial intelligence to create fake art instead of fighting for the real thing. In a present that depends more and more on algorithms and artificial precision, we in Teramaze have made something that speaks with defiant organic energy.”
“Everything that has shaped the band’s development is gathered on the latest album: precise riff architecture, emotionally charged melodic peaks, progressive twists that allow no rest, and chorus hooks that follow a clear common thread without descending into chaos. It doesn’t let up. It’s focused and speaks in a structured, controlled way. Dangerous.”
