Uriah Heep Issue Statement on Bassist Davey Rimmer Joining Judas Priest!
Uriah Heep, one of the most important British rock bands still active when it comes to pioneering the sound of modern hard rock and metal, have put out an official statement on social media about their longtime bassist Davey Rimmer joining the biblical patriarchs of metal, Judas Priest.
Among other things, they wrote that they wish their bassist all the best as he joins these giants of rock and metal, but also that Davey remains their bassist and will play all the shows announced for their “The Magician’s Farewell” tour, both this year and next, wherever his schedule allows. The latter refers to shows in 2027.
Wherever Davey can’t play with Uriah Heep because of a clash with his Judas Priest commitments, Uriah Heep will find a replacement for him. They say they’ll keep their fans posted on any such stand-ins as things develop.
As you may already know, on the autumn leg of their “The Magician’s Farewell” tour, Uriah Heep will also be stopping by Ljubljana’s Cvetličarna on November 11, 2026! You’ll find more info HERE.
