MINT keep their wildly creative year rolling with a new original single, »Pankijada ločitve« – a song that doesn’t tackle the end of a love story with the usual wallowing, but with irony, energy and a healthy dose of rebellion.
Alongside the single, MINT are also unveiling a new music video that ties the song’s story to the world of film. The video features clips from the new movie PURE VORTEX by director Vital Butinar, in which the members of MINT show up as a band. And »Pankijada ločitve« is on the movie’s soundtrack too, so this is a lot more than just borrowing some footage for a video – MINT’s music has become part of the film’s story itself.
For MINT, »Pankijada ločitve« is a pretty special project: a new original song, a new music video and a film collaboration all rolled into one story.
It lands at a time when the band clearly isn’t too well acquainted with the word rest. 2026 is shaping up as one of MINT’s most productive years yet – after winning the Pivo in cvetje music competition, playing Gora Rocka and Laško, hitting the studio again and steadily working on new original material, the band is already prepping its next songs.
MINT want to build their path mainly through hard work and consistency: write, record, release and play. No hunting for shortcuts and no waiting around for the “right moment.”
Pure Vortex is a Slovenian-American indie comedy, or comedy-drama, whose story is closely tied to the music world to begin with. Vital Butinar directed, and the script was written by Butinar and Iza Kokoravec Povh.
