Peter Gabriel, the acclaimed singer-songwriter and British prog rock icon, has dropped the bright-side mix of his fifth new single, Won’t Stand Down (mixed by Mark ‘Spike’ Sten). The new single will appear on Gabriel’s upcoming album “o\i”.
Going by how the singles are coming out, with each one getting a ‘bright side’ mix and then a ‘dark side’ mix, it looks like Gabriel will release the new album in two differently mixed versions!
In two weeks, Gabriel will release this single in a ‘dark-side’ mix as well.
Before Won’t Stand Down, Gabriel has already put out singles in both mix versions: What Lies Ahead, Been Undone, Put The Bucket Down, What Lies Ahead and Till Your Mind Is Shining.
The album is slowly taking shape over the course of this year, just like Gabriel did with its predecessor “i/o” from 2023. Each single will drop on the full moon. Once again, both a “dark-side” and a “bright-side” mix will be available, with Tchad Blake and Mark ‘Spike’ Stent taking care of them again.
All five singles were written and produced by Peter Gabriel and recorded at Real World studios in Bath and The Beehive in London.
